My friend tells me this.
"It is always exciting to start a new project"
I am glad for her help.
I don't enjoy cutting really,
Starting something new...
You see-
I am a "Do'er"
I like to get to the part where things begin to take shape.
Yes- the sewing that is what I like.
One can't begin without starting at the beginning.
Without cutting, there will be no parts.
Without parts there will be no whole, nothing to take shape later on.
And I think,
What will God put before me this year?
What will the fabric be that I have to cut into- to start something new?
When God lays a new project before you this year,
Be sure to cut slowly, strait and true.
Laying down the groundwork for the rest of the project is of great importance. (Luke 6:48)
And when the "Doing" part begins to take shape,
I will stand firm on the foundation.
And when things take shape,
If something isn't lined up quite right,
I will go back to the foundation of it all,
And re-align myself with the Rock,
The chief cornerstone.
(A personal note of thanks to Linda who generously gave the fabric for this quilt and so many more to come. God bless you!)
