II Corinthians 3:18

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. II Corinthians 3:18

Breath

Old Christmas streets
Lights and Joy
Good cheer everywhere

Old characters from time gone by
Jo March from "Little Women" with
Greetings on the street

Santa characters from all eras and traditions greeting us along the way.

Christmas traditions from around the world

Excited children

searching...

Lights in the night

The scent of Chestnuts roasting

Carolers singing joy

Joy and good will everywhere
But the reason for the joy
It is nowhere to be found

No live nativity
No Mary,
pregnant with waiting

Earlier I got a glimps
of the waiting
the expectation

The thought of a new one coming
The waiting
The expectations
HOPE

And I think of the one who comes,
who issues forth,
through birth
into the stench of this world,
The stench of sin-
to bring us the REASON
for the ONE TRUE HOPE
the hope of all mankind

And it reminds me of the lyrics to this song,
They flood my mind.

I have traveled many moonless night
Cold and weary, with a babe inside
And I wonder what I've done
Holy Father, you have come
And chosen me now
To carry your son

I am waiting in a silent prayer
I am frightened by the load I bear
In a world as cold as stone,
Must I walk this path alone?
Be with me now
Be with me now

Chorus:
Breath of heaven
Hold me together
Be forever near me
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Light up my darkness
Pour over me your holiness
For you are holy

Breath of heaven

Do you wonder as you watch my face
If a wiser one one should have had my place
But I offer all I am
For the mercy of your plan
Help me be strong
Help me be
Help me

(Chorus)
(Chorus)

Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven
Breath of heaven

Song Artist Amy Grant

I think,
how looking upon that child
must have been like looking at the light
The light of the world
The word made flesh
The word who is a lamp unto my feet
Took form inside of Mary
who had expectations beyond those we could comprehend
And I continue to receive the gift

The first breath of a child,
covered in fluid
"Breath of Heaven"

The same ancient air that Christ once breathed
I breath it now too

John 1:1-5
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. 4In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 12:46
I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.

In Him was life, the light of all mankind.

Genesis 2:7
7 Then the LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.

Isaiah 42:5-7

Thus says God the LORD,

Who created the heavens and stretched them out,
Who spread out the earth and its offspring,
Who gives breath to the people on it
And spirit to those who walk in it,
6 “I am the LORD, I have called You in righteousness,
I will also hold You by the hand and watch over You,
And I will appoint You as a covenant to the people,
As a light to the nations,

His breath
His light
Are the only things that keep me
Hold me
The Hope
the reason the darkness has not overcome.

And when my breath hangs in the air
On that cool crisp night
A midst the lights
the Santas
the Joy

I think of the reason
The Breath of Heaven
That gives me Breath

Lord,
May you envelop those who read this in Your love.
Strengthen them in the times of hustle and hurry.
Help them while they try to love like you love.
Develop time this season,
Where we can cherish You above all
And breath in and out,
your Breath
So all might see and know,
follow and grow in your loving arms.

In Christ's Holy Name
Amen
