Yeah...
We're kind of threadbare here...
That tends to happen when you are wearing layers of clothing. The under clothes eventually wear thin. Pants and shirts are constantly worn under winter gear... constantly rubbing against each other...
Eventually they wear thin...
I got to thinking about that today.
Right between math and literature- that frayed gaping hole just kept staring at me.
How frayed... how tattered are we?
From rubbing up against a weary and broken world.
Why do we fray?
I dunno...
I think it is...
knowing there is nothing YOU can do...
And continuing to love people...
Even though you know there is nothing you can do...
Nothing that any single person can bring that will fix anything in this broken world...
That only Christ can fill one up...
That only Christ can fix the broken pieces...
And I think little by little...
rubbing against this world we live in...
We fray...
Bits of us are left...
From rubbing against the world around us...
Hopefully something I have done or shared...
Spoke truth and shed light...
Even though it leaves us...
threadbare, holey and a bit frayed.
