II Corinthians 3:18

And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. II Corinthians 3:18

Fishy goes through TSA

We have had a good time with fishy over the last couple of months.  I am thinking he needs a children's story book series made for him.

"Fishy Goes to Church"
"Fishy Goes to School" and
"Fishy Goes through TSA"

Many times my blogs are on more of a serious note.  But- I have been down and out with the flu and thought this would be a good reprise from just laying around here trying to "feel better soon".

Here is our daughter with her fishy face before this whole ordeal began:
Next we had to put fishy into only 3 ounces of water.  This is what is necessary for him to get through TSA.  Only 3 ounces of liquid, individually packaged and inside of a baggie.

So, out fishy went...

We knew they were going to look at a fish going through TSA with crossed eyes, so... what did we put fishy in so that he could make it through?
Yep... that's right...
A baby bottle, with the ounces marked right on it so you can see clearly...

He's legal!

Here's fishy in the TSA tub... along with other msc. carry-ons.
This is where the story gets kind of funny.   The TSA guy took fishy out...  looked at fishy cross eyed... and said.  There is a fish in there!  You can't take a fish...

Then he looked through the side of the bottle...

"3 oz. of water"

He shook his head...
Put fishy back in the bin and sent him on through the x-ray machine.

Then the lady running the x-ray machine got a strange look on her face.
They guy who had already passed him through said, "I'd like to see that scan."
The woman running the x-ray machine said, "It doesn't really show up."

And with that... we were through TSA.

Next we got to our gate and Libby took fishy out (she is so serious) and added some other water we checked through to the bottle.  He was set for the rest of the ride!

At this point we were still in the GR airport.  Scott got the "official" photo with the fish at the flight gate.
The flight from GR to St. Paul was un-eventful.  Then we had a one and a half our layover.  The airport in St. Paul is huge.  You can take outside trains (trams) from one part of the airport to the next.  But- since the next flight would be around five hours we opted to walk.  They boarded a bit early and we got there right on time.

Fishy liked the layover too!
So that's how fishy Got through TSA.  We have one more flight with fishy.  This week the 10th in a bush plane.  Fishy, you are one well traveled fish!
