With negative temperatures the hairs in my nose froze as I worked.
A whole team of us... around the small frozen pond.
Children working alongside adults as one body.
Chainsaws buzzed.
Backs bent as we gather the wood from the snow.
Backs bent as we gather the wood from the snow.
Bowing, "As unto the Lord"... yes... our work is unto the Lord.
All this wood, gathered so someone won't go cold this winter.
Old men teaching young men to fell a tree.
Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
Colossians 3:23-24
We heard Scottie Barnes speak before we went out this day.
She spoke of serving "with a right heart".
Not for acclaim, not for selfish gain... Just to see deeper into the heart of Jesus.
We saw more of him this day.
Our team,
Our mission team...
Was living out the mission.
Growing more into his likeness...
Showing others the Joy of Christ.
Just to be a blessing.
Thank you for these blessings.
Thank you for these ones who love...
This was only one of many mission projects going on this past Saturday.
Sometimes I marvel at the glory,
of how God changes the hearts of those serving as well as those being served.
